School Uniform
The Governors expect our pupils to wear school uniform. We believe it looks smart and gives the child a sense of belonging and pride in the school and themselves.
Reception to Year 6 pupils
Purple sweatshirt and/or purple cardigan
White polo shirt
Grey trousers/skirt/pinafore dress/shorts
Socks - grey or white
Tights - grey, white, purple
Black coloured shoes [not flip flops, open toed shoes, high heels]
Shoes that have Velcro fastenings are recommended for younger children.
P.E. kit (black shorts and purple T-shirt) (no black soled pumps/trainers)
Optional items
Purple water proof jacket with fleece lining
Grey/Purple/Black wool hats
Grey/Purple/White summer caps
Purple and white gingham summer dress
Book bag - purple
P.E. bag - purple
School bag - purple/black
Nursery Uniform
Nursery and Reception children ONLY may wear the grey joggers
Nursery - Grey joggers, purple nursery sweatshirt, white polo shirt
All uniform items may be purchased from Get Logo’d Shotton, except for trousers, skirts and shoes.
Children only need to bring to school their reading book, PE kit and lunch in a small bag.
ALL UNIFORM MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE CHILD’S NAME BE HIDDEN FROM SIGHT, IF YOU CHOOSE TO HAVE YOUR GARMENTS EMBROIDERED FOR IDENTIFICATION THEN THIS MUST BE THE CHILD’S INITIALS ONLY FOR SECURITY PURPOSES.
Jewellery should not be worn in school. If your child has pierced ears they should wear plain studs. Earrings must be removed or covered with tape for any kind of sporting activity.
