Using bar models to solve problems
Today in Coch we have had an amazing time using bar models to solve word problems. We love how colourful our pages looked, and also how easily we can now solve problems!
These are some of the creations we have designed using blocks and our knowledge of Victorian times. Soon we will show you some of the inventions we have created in our Engineers Corner!
Today we built a piping system to transport water from one part of the outdoors area to another. We used some pipes, buckets for the water, a cup and some metal structures to create the different levels. It was really exciting!
A very mysterious object: what can it be?
A very mysterious object has appeared in our school today. We have been observing it, analysing its parts, the materials it is made of, its properties, its colour... We even tried to build one ourselves! Next week we will do some more research about this object, who might have used it and what for. How exciting!
We start the new year with some outdoors learning!
This week we have started doing some outdoors learning to make learning a lot more fun. We have enjoyed being outdoors while practising our writing and number skills. We can't wait to try again next week!
